Complicated Systems

Most behavior support trainings out there are too complicated, impractical, time-consuming, or expensive to realistically use in schools. They add to the chaos.

Meet Your Instructors

Hello!

We're glad you're here, because we've been where you are and know we wish we could've found a place like this.

We Started as Exhausted Educators, Just Like You.

We have both spent many years in the trenches working with students whose challenging behaviors left us exhausted, reactive, and searching for answers that actually worked.

Ashley Bauer started as a paraprofessional and then special education teacher, facing the same daily struggles you do: constant disruptions, limited support, and strategies that only worked temporarily. Now, as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and mom to a son with a rare genetic syndrome who faces behavioral and communication challenges, she understands both professionally and personally what it means to need practical solutions that work in the messy reality of everyday life.

Meggin Funk is a BCBA and Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) who has seen first-hand how behavioral challenges and communication difficulties intersect, and how building genuine connection is the foundation to changing everything. She's supported hundreds of teachers and school behavior teams, guiding them from reactive crisis management and daily disruptions to confident prevention, skillful teaching of essential replacement behaviors, and calm, consistent responses in challenging moments.

Here's What We've Learned...

After years of supporting school teams with behavior plans and consulting with overwhelmed teachers, we saw the same pattern everywhere: educators weren't lacking ideas from specialists. They were lacking a clear system they could effectively use themselves that actually gave relief and let them take back their teaching time. They were constantly putting out fires.

That's why we created Connection Foundations. Not more theory or overly complicated plans to file away, but a practical framework that helps you build connection, teach essential skills, and respond to challenging behaviors with confidence, without waiting for outside help or completely burning out while you manage crisis after crisis.

But Here's What Really Matters to You...

You might skip right past our credentials or backstory, and that's okay. What really matters is this: Could we help you move from feeling constantly reactive to more prepared and proactive? From spending so much time managing challenging behaviors to actually having the space and confidence to teach?

The answer is: YES!

We believe so strongly in this approach that we're offering a 7-day money-back guarantee. We know this can help because we've lived it, taught it, and seen it transform classrooms by truly building capacity.

We hope you're as excited as we are for you to begin this journey!  We'll be here to support you.

Hope to meet you soon!

Ashley & Meggin

Frequently Asked Questions

What skill level is this program for?

Connection Foundations is designed for beginners to experienced school staff.
You don’t need prior behavior training—just a willingness to learn a new way to respond. The course meets you where you are, whether you’re a para seeing big behaviors for the first time or a veteran teacher who’s tried everything and needs a clearer, simpler system.

How long do I have access to the program & when does it start?

You get immediate access the moment you enroll and that access to the course materials and community last for 1 year from the date of purchase!
You can complete the training at your own pace, pause anytime, and return throughout the year whenever you need a refresher. Updates and improvements are included during your access period at no extra cost.

Can't I learn all of this on Youtube?

YouTube has helpful ideas, but it’s scattered, inconsistent, and often contradictory.
Connection Foundations gives you a cohesive, step-by-step system built for real classrooms—so you know exactly what to do, in what order, and why it works. Instead of hunting through random videos, you’ll have one clear roadmap you can use Monday morning.

Do I need to have behavior expertise or special certifications before starting?

No. You don’t need to be a BCBA, counselor, or behavior specialist.
This course teaches practical skills for everyday educators (teachers, paras, specialists, school behavior teams, etc.). We focus on adult capacity and classroom implementation, not clinical treatment, so anyone who supports students can begin right away.

Should I invest in Connection Foundations before investing in outside consultants or complex behavior programs?

For most teams, yes. Connection Foundations gives you the core skills and shared language that make any future supports more effective. Instead of spending thousands on complicated plans you can’t implement, you’ll first build a practical foundation your whole team can use—then you’ll be able to evaluate other investments with confidence.
